| Born in England at 1776, John Constable showed a deep love for the countryside and the restful landscape since his childhood. He looked for and found harmony in nature, which he investigated with patient care and an intense sense of involvement. His version of nature is nostalgic, and highly personal, an effect achieved because of his familiarity with the setting, which are almost all in and around his home county of East Anglia - all help him became one of the greatest romanticism artist in early nineteenth century. |
